Musical inspiration

I've always had music in my life...whether it be having listened to good ole' country music when I was younger being in the car with my mom or dad.  Finally liking my own music - Ace of Base, Tiffany, NKOTB.  Growing older into Hanson, Backstreet Boys, NSync, Spice Girls.  Growing up even more into KoRn, Staind, Limp Bizkit, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, CREED...the list goes on.  It's always had a place in my heart and seemed to help me get through tough times.  Granted I'm only 25 (soon to be 26) so I haven't had that many awful experiences...but teenage angst, loss, love, family troubles...bla bla bla.

For Christmas, Hardy got us tickets to see 30 Seconds to Mars which is undoubtedly one of my top 3 favorite bands ever.  I have only seen them 1 time but tears were streaming down my face when I did.  There are just certain things that connect with you in a way you can't really explain and for me...their music is one of them.  This Friday, the 28th they will be playing The Tabernacle...one of the coolest venues ever to see a concert (in my opinion).  I found out today it's SOLD OUT.  I don't remember attending many sold out concerts in my lifetime (ok ok ok Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus), ha...but it's a neat feeling when it's in a smaller venue.

So when I want to escape the demands, conflicts, worries...etc of every day life, usually 30 Seconds to Mars is the one band I can always listen to to take me away for a while.  The following video is off their newest album THIS IS WAR and it just touches me.  I don't know if it's the lyrics, the music...or a combination of it all but I thought I would share it.  It was beautifully pieced together.

And just because I can....it's 298 days until Breaking Dawn :)
